Comment-to-DM, story replies, keyword triggers and AI answers on each client’s own Instagram account, with a workspace per client so nothing written for one ever reaches another. Ten client accounts on Pro, fifty on Max.

One inbox per client, across every channel they use.
Single-account Instagram DM automation is built for one creator answering their own messages. An agency is a different job, and these are the places it fails.
Seeing what arrived overnight means logging in and out of each client account in turn. The tool has no concept of a second account, so the workaround tends to be a shared password manager.
A keyword set up for the fitness client answers on the dental client because the automation is global, not scoped.
Where a tool is priced per account, every new client makes the software more expensive, so the tooling cost grows as fast as the revenue it supports.
Tools that log in as a person and click through the app violate Meta’s terms. When the account gets restricted it is the client’s account, not yours, and the conversation that follows is not one you want to have.
Without proper takeover, the automation answers a pricing objection badly and the lead is gone before anyone on your team has seen the thread.
The tool can send messages but cannot tell the client how many conversations turned into booked calls, so reporting goes back to a spreadsheet.
Every client account lives in its own workspace. The inbox, keyword rules, AI agent, pipeline, team permissions and reporting all belong to that workspace and are invisible from the others. Your team switches client in one click, without logging out and without any chance of a reply landing in the wrong place.
The client authorises their own Instagram professional account through Meta. Their permissions, their account, revocable by them at any time.
Keyword triggers, comment-to-DM rules, story handling, the AI agent’s knowledge and the handover conditions are all set inside that one workspace.
Your team works every client from a single login, with assignments, internal notes and the full conversation history on each lead.
Team members are assigned to the client workspaces they work on and see nothing else. A junior handling three accounts cannot open the other twenty-seven. Pro includes five team seats, Max has uncapped seats, and on Max the whole portal can carry your own domain and branding so clients log into you rather than into us.
Everything below runs per client account and is configured per client account.
Each client Instagram account gets its own inbox, keyword rules, AI agent, pipeline and reporting. Ten client workspaces on Pro, fifty on Max, isolated from each other.
A keyword in the comments triggers a direct message. Queued against Meta’s private reply rules so a rule firing on an old comment does not waste a send.
Story stickers, replies and mentions open a conversation. Answer instantly during a launch, route the real questions to a person.
Per-client keyword rules decide what gets an instant answer, what gets a link, what gets a booking page and what goes straight to a human.
An agent per client, trained on that client’s own DM history, offer and tone. Nothing is shared between client accounts.
Any team member can take the conversation from the agent in one click, or set the conditions where the agent must hand over first.
Every conversation shows how much of the 24-hour window is left, and follow-ups move to another channel when it closes.
The official API, with permissions granted by the client. No browser automation, no scraped logins, no shared session.
Reply volume, response time, conversations booked and pipeline value per client account, branded and sent on a schedule.
These constraints apply to every tool on the official API, including ours. Knowing them upfront is what separates an automation that holds up from one that quietly stops sending.
When a person messages a business, Meta opens a 24-hour window for the business to reply. After it closes, a standard reply will not send. Inflowave shows the remaining time on every conversation and will not queue a message that is going to be rejected.
Meta provides a tag for messages sent by a real person handling the conversation, which reaches up to seven days after the last customer message. Inflowave applies it correctly when a human takes the thread over, which keeps a follow-up deliverable after the standard window has closed.
Comment-to-DM works through private replies. Meta permits one private reply per comment, and it has to be sent within seven days of that comment. Rules are queued against both limits, so an automation firing on an old comment does not burn a send that cannot land.
Meta does not provide any way to message someone who has not contacted the account. Conversations start from a DM, a comment, a story reply, an ad or a link. A tool advertising cold DM on Instagram is not doing it through the official API.
Content publishing through the API is capped at 100 posts per account in a rolling 24 hours. A bulk backfill on a new client can reach it, so we count against it per account and schedule around it.
Every Instagram action goes through the published Graph API under permissions the client granted. There is no browser session and no stored password. Account restrictions come from tools that drive the app like a human, which is what Meta enforces against.
None of this is a limitation of Inflowave. It is the platform every compliant tool works inside. The useful question when you compare vendors is not whether they have these limits, it is whether they told you about them.
A single-channel DM tool is finished when the window expires. Inflowave is a unified inbox, so the same lead record carries every other channel the client can legitimately use.
A comment, a story reply, an ad click or an inbound DM opens the thread on the client’s own account.
Facebook Messenger conversations land on the same lead record, so nobody is treated as two different people.
Once a number is captured with consent, WhatsApp carries the longer conversation that Instagram’s window cannot hold.
SMS, email and outbound calls with recording and transcription all attach to the same lead and the same pipeline stage.
Every conversation writes back to a CRM pipeline, so the client’s month-end report is a record of what the DMs produced rather than a count of messages sent.
The agent is not a keyword tree with a friendly voice. It is trained on the client’s own DM history, so it answers in their words about their offer, and it knows where it is supposed to stop.
Each agent learns from one client’s conversations, pricing and tone. Knowledge is never shared between client workspaces.
Run the agent against past conversations and read what it would have replied, before a single real message goes out.
Pricing questions, complaints, specific keywords or low confidence can all force a handover instead of a guess.
A team member types and the agent stops for that conversation. Automation continues everywhere else, and the human agent tag keeps the follow-up open for up to seven days.
Ten client accounts on Pro, fifty on Max, each one isolated. Seven-day free trial on every paid plan.
One account, for a single brand rather than a client list.
For agencies with a team and a client list.
For agencies running at scale.
Solo operators and single-brand teams start at $149 a month on Business with one account. Above fifty client accounts, talk to us about Enterprise. Full comparison on the pricing page.
Name it after the client. Everything you configure from here belongs to that workspace alone.
They authorise their Instagram professional account through Meta, in their own login. You never hold their password.
Decide which comments trigger a DM, which story replies get an instant answer, and what each one sends.
Point it at the client’s DM history, then run it against past conversations and read the replies before going live.
Choose the topics where a person must take over, such as pricing questions and complaints.
Give the people working that account access to that workspace only, then repeat for the next client.
It is software that answers a client’s Instagram direct messages automatically, on the client’s own account, while your team supervises. For an agency the defining requirement is not the automation itself but the separation around it: each client account needs its own inbox, its own replies, its own keyword rules and its own reporting, so nothing written for one client can ever appear in another client’s conversation. Inflowave gives every client a workspace of their own and lets your team work across all of them from a single login.
Connected social accounts and client workspaces are included in the plan tier: one on Business at $149 a month, ten on Pro at $297 and fifty on Max at $497. Agencies larger than fifty accounts move to a custom Enterprise plan. Every account is isolated, and adding a client does not create a separate per-client charge for AI replies, the inbox or the client portal.
Not through Inflowave. We are a Meta Business Partner running the official Instagram Graph API, which means every message is sent through an endpoint Meta publishes and permits, under the permissions the client granted when they connected their account. The ban risk comes from browser automation, where a tool logs into the account like a person and clicks through the app. That is against Meta’s terms and is what triggers restrictions. There is no browser session and no scraped login anywhere in our Instagram integration.
No, and any tool that claims it can on Instagram is not using the official API. Meta does not publish an endpoint for messaging a stranger. Conversations start when the person messages the account, comments on a post, replies to a story, taps an ad or uses a link. Everything below describes automation inside conversations the person started, which is also why it works without risking the account.
When someone messages a business on Instagram, Meta opens a 24-hour window in which the business can reply freely. After 24 hours the standard reply is closed. A message sent with the human_agent tag, which exists for a real person following up, extends the reach to seven days. Inflowave tracks the window on every conversation, shows your team how long is left, and routes a follow-up to SMS or email when the window has closed rather than silently failing to send.
When someone comments a keyword on a client’s post or reel, Inflowave sends them a direct message. Meta calls this a private reply, and its rules are specific: one private reply per comment, and it must be sent within seven days of the comment. After that first message the normal conversation rules apply. We queue private replies against those limits automatically, so a rule that fires on an old comment does not burn a send that will be rejected.
Yes. Story replies and story mentions arrive as messages, so they open a conversation the same way an inbound DM does. This can carry a launch: the client posts a story with a sticker, everyone who replies gets an immediate answer and a link, and the ones who ask a real question are routed to a human.
Each client gets their own agent, trained on that client’s DM history, their offer, their pricing and their tone. It does not share a knowledge base with your other clients. You can see every answer before it goes live, test it against past conversations, and set the topics where it must hand over instead of guessing.
Any team member can take a conversation over mid-thread from the inbox, and the agent stops for that conversation immediately. You can also make takeover automatic: on a pricing question, on a complaint, on a keyword you specify, or on anything the agent is not confident about. Handover is per conversation, so the automation keeps running everywhere else.
Yes. Team members are assigned to specific client workspaces with their own permissions, and they only see the accounts they are assigned to. Pro includes five team seats and Max has uncapped seats. A reply cannot reach an account the person has not been assigned to.
The same inbox carries Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS, email and voice calls, and all of them land on the same lead record. That matters when the Instagram window closes: the follow-up moves to a channel that is still open rather than being lost. There are also CRM pipelines, visual workflow automation, Meta ads management, a power dialer with recording and transcription, booking calendars, an AI website and funnel builder, link-in-bio and competitor intelligence in the same platform.
Meta allows 100 API-published posts per account per 24 hours for content publishing. It is worth knowing if you plan a bulk backfill on a new client, which is the case most likely to reach the cap. Inflowave counts against it per account and schedules around it.
Yes on Max: your own domain for the client portal, your branding on client dashboards and branded notification emails. Clients log into your brand and see only their own workspace.
