How we verify our marketplace agencies
Most agency directories let anyone claim a 5-star track record. Ours doesn't. Every agency with a Verified ROAS badge passed an audit against their actual client outcomes. We can only audit them because they run their operations on our software.
Only agencies that run their client work inside Inflowave. If we can't see the data, we can't audit it.
Real revenue per client, growth across periods, SEO impact. Not vanity follower counts or "case study" screenshots.
The agency must run on Inflowave
We don't verify agencies based on what they tell us. We verify them based on what we can read directly from their Inflowave workspace: DM volume, lead capture rate, pipeline movement, deal close-out, attributed revenue. If they aren't on Inflowave, we don't have audit access and we don't issue a badge.
This rules out roughly 90% of agencies asking to join the marketplace. The ones that remain have skin in the game: they pay us, we host their data, we can cross-check every claim against the underlying records.
Direct integration with the storefront
For agencies whose clients sell online (Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, etc.) the audit is the easy half of the job. We connect to the storefront's order data via the integrations the client already has wired up, then trace every order back to the Inflowave-attributed DM, story, comment trigger, or paid touchpoint that produced it.
From that we calculate the real numbers: cost per acquired customer, return on ad spend, time-to-first-purchase, repeat-buy rate. The agency's "Verified ROAS" headline is a weighted average across their live ecom clients, not the best month of one cherry-picked account.
- What we cross-check: order count, gross revenue, refunds/chargebacks, attribution window, ad spend reported by the agency.
- What disqualifies a claim: revenue we can't tie to a tracked source, attribution windows wider than 30 days, or any sign of double-counting between paid and organic.
In-person sales tracked through the pipeline
Most agencies serve local service businesses like coaches, gyms, dentists, real-estate teams. The actual sale closes on a phone call, a clinic visit, or a contract signing. There's no checkout event to point at. That's why most directories give up here and let agencies make up numbers.
We don't. Inside Inflowave, every lead has a pipeline record: where it came from, who handled it, what was said, when it was marked booked, showed up, closed, and at what deal size. Agencies log these outcomes in their day-to-day work because Inflowave is also their CRM. They can't fake the pipeline data without losing the operational benefit of using it.
We audit a random sample of 20-50 closed deals per client. We look at the message thread that produced the lead, the pipeline stages it moved through, the deal value entered on close, and (where the client allows) we cross-reference with bookings systems, calendar logs, or invoicing software they've connected.
- What counts as a verifiable in-person sale: a closed pipeline deal with a deal value, originated from a tracked Inflowave touchpoint, with a corresponding payment or booking record on the client side.
- What we throw out: deals closed off-platform that the agency claims came from their work but have no trail in Inflowave. Even if true, we can't verify it, so we don't count it.
Growth tracked across real time windows
A one-month spike means nothing on its own. Every agency we verify shows their performance on three time axes:
Are they actively producing results right now, or is the badge based on a 2023 case study they keep showing?
A full quarter shows whether the 30-day result is a peak or a sustained pace. Variance matters.
Year-over-year client retention and revenue trend. Agencies that churn every client at month 6 don't get verified, regardless of headline ROAS.
If any of the three windows look weak relative to peers in the same niche and budget tier, we either lower the verification grade or revoke the badge entirely.
SEO and organic-reach impact
Some agencies don't run paid ads. They grow clients through organic search, content, and discoverability. Their "ROAS" framing is different but the audit is structurally the same: we measure outcomes attributable to their work.
- Ranking deltas: position changes on the keywords the agency targeted at engagement start vs. each subsequent quarter. Pulled directly from Google Search Console where the client connects it (most do).
- Organic traffic growth: non-brand impressions and clicks, normalised against industry seasonality. A national niche getting +30% during a holiday quarter doesn't get full credit if competitors also grew.
- Organic-to-revenue conversion: traffic only counts when it converts in Inflowave (leads logged, pipeline moves, deals closed). SEO that generates page views but no leads doesn't pass.
- Inflowave Links analytics: for clients using our link-in-bio + tracked-links infrastructure, we have first-party click and conversion data without depending on Google. This is the cleanest signal.
Verification expires - quarterly re-audit
The badge isn't a lifetime award. Every 90 days we re-pull the underlying data and re-run the audit. Agencies whose recent quarter falls below their verified average get notified, and have 30 days to either bring the numbers back up or have the badge downgraded / removed. There is no negotiating with the algorithm. The data either supports the claim or it doesn't.
