The biggest leverage in content strategy isn't picking a winning format - it's picking an underserved topic. A mediocre Reel about a topic with high demand and no supply will outperform a beautifully edited one about a saturated topic every time. The Inflowave Content Gap Analyzer maps your niche, finds clusters where search volume and audience intent are high but creator output is thin, and hands you a ranked list. Each gap includes an estimated search volume tier, competition level, why the gap exists, and a first video angle so you can ship into the gap the same day.
How it works
- 1Enter your niche - be specific. "SaaS marketing for fintech" beats "marketing".
- 2Pick the platform - YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube + TikTok combined.
- 3Our AI maps the niche's topic clusters and scores each one for demand vs. supply.
- 4You get a ranked list of gaps with volume tier, competition, why it's underserved, and a starter angle.
Who uses this tool
- YouTubers planning their next 5–10 videos and tired of fighting for the same saturated keywords.
- TikTok creators trying to break out of a niche where the same 3 voices dominate every trending sound.
- Agencies onboarding a client and needing a content backlog the client can ship for the next 30–60 days.
- Solopreneurs choosing which topic to anchor their personal brand around before they invest in production.
- B2B brands picking which thought-leadership topics to invest in before competitors lock them up.
- SEO teams looking for video content angles that match underserved keyword intent.
Why this beats the generic AI tools
- ✓Outputs ranked, actionable gaps - not a wall of keyword data you still have to interpret.
- ✓Each gap includes a starter video angle so you can ship the first asset the same day.
- ✓Combines search demand signals with social-platform supply signals - most tools only do one.
- ✓Free, no signup wall, no credit-card capture. Drop your email when you want the report.
- ✓Niche-aware: results for "fitness for new moms" look nothing like results for "fitness".

Generate yours free ↓What "underserved" actually means
A topic is underserved when audience demand (search volume, comment volume, audience curiosity) outpaces creator supply (number of videos in the last 90 days addressing the exact angle). The gap analyzer doesn't just count videos - it weights how recent they are, how directly they address the topic, and whether the top results are stale. A topic with 200 videos from 2022 and zero from this year is more underserved than a topic with 50 fresh videos.
Search volume tiers explained
We bucket volume into qualitative tiers (low / medium / high / very high) instead of fake-precise numbers because exact search-volume estimates from public scraping are noisy. The tier reflects relative demand within your niche, which is the only number that matters for content prioritization. A "high" volume topic in a niche of 200k creators is bigger than a "very high" topic in a niche of 5k. Always read the volume tier alongside the niche size you submitted.
Why "first video angle" matters more than the topic
A topic is too abstract to film. An angle is something you can shoot. We deliberately give you an angle for each gap because the gap is only useful if you can act on it within 24 hours. The angle is structured as a hook + premise: enough to start scripting, but not so prescriptive that it boxes in your creative voice. Use it as a starting point, then layer your perspective on top.
FAQ
How accurate are the volume estimates?▾
The tiers are calibrated against signals from public search and social platforms. They are directionally accurate - "high" really is higher than "low" - but they are not exact monthly search volumes. Treat them as a prioritization signal, not a forecasting tool. If you need precise numbers, pair this with a paid keyword research tool.
Can I use these gaps for SEO blog content too?▾
Yes, especially when you select the YouTube or YouTube + TikTok platform option, because YouTube intent overlaps heavily with Google search intent. Many of our users repurpose the gap into a blog post + a video, doubling the asset value from a single research run.
How often should I rerun the analyzer?▾
Every 30–60 days for active niches. Gaps close as competitors notice them and ship. The biggest mistake is finding a great gap, posting one video, and never re-checking - by month three, the gap may have closed and a new one opened. Make it part of your monthly planning rhythm.
Will my niche keywords be shared or sold?▾
No. The niche you submit is used to generate your report and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising. We don't retain it for training purposes. Your competitive research is yours.
What if my niche is very small or very specific?▾
Hyper-specific niches sometimes return fewer gaps because there is less raw signal. If you only get 2–3 gaps back, broaden the niche by one level (e.g. "indoor cycling for over-50s" → "indoor cycling"). You will find gaps in the parent niche that still apply to your sub-segment.
