Meta Verified for Business is Meta's paid subscription for businesses on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. For a monthly fee you get a verified badge, protection against accounts impersonating you, and a direct line to Meta's support team.
The question most owners have isn't what it is, it's whether it's worth paying for. This guide covers what you actually get, what it costs, who can sign up, and the one thing it doesn't do that many people buy it for.
Not to be confused with business verification, which is free and happens in Business Suite's Security Center. That one is covered in Meta business verification: how to get verified.
What you get
All plans include the core features. Higher plans add more support and profile features.
| Feature | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Verified badge | The badge on your Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp profile, after Meta checks your business |
| Impersonation protection | Meta monitors for accounts pretending to be your business and removes the ones it judges to be impersonating you |
| Account support | Access to Meta's support agents by chat and email, with faster handling on higher plans |
| Profile extras | Depending on the plan: more business details on the profile, links in Reels, and protection for named employees |
Meta itself notes that some support features, such as round-the-clock agent support, may not be available to every subscriber yet, and that features and availability vary by country and app. Meta has also started offering Meta Verified features as part of a broader subscription it calls Meta One, so the name you see in your app may differ.
How much it costs
Meta Verified for Business has four plans: Standard, Plus, Premium and Max. In the US, prices commonly reported in 2026 are:
| Plan | Typical US price per month | Adds |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | about $14.99 | Badge, impersonation protection, account support |
| Plus | about $49.99 | Faster issue resolution, more profile features |
| Premium | about $149.99 | Can request a call from a support agent, employee impersonation protection |
| Max | about $499.99 | Active monitoring of your open support cases, the most profile features |
A few things change the real price:
- It's per account. Each plan covers one Facebook Page, one Instagram account or one WhatsApp number. Covering a Page and an Instagram account means two subscriptions, although Meta has offered a discount for bundling them.
- Prices vary by country and by where you subscribe. The web price can differ from the in-app price, and some plans are only offered in the app.
- Launch prices were lower. Older articles quote lower figures for the higher plans. Check the price in your own app before deciding.
Who can sign up
To be eligible, the business generally needs to:
- be in a country where Meta Verified for Business is available
- be run by someone of legal age who has full control of the business portfolio in Meta Business Suite
- have eligible assets in that portfolio (a Page, an Instagram professional account or a WhatsApp Business account) with some recent activity
- turn on the security Meta asks for, such as two-factor authentication for people with access
- follow Meta's Community Standards and terms
To check, open Meta Business Suite, go to Settings, and look for Meta Verified. If it doesn't appear, the portfolio or country isn't eligible yet.
What it doesn't do
This is the part people get wrong.
It doesn't reverse a restriction. If an ad account, Page or portfolio has been restricted, a subscription doesn't lift it and doesn't skip the review. Meta presents the subscription as access to support, not as account recovery. Support agents can explain a decision and make sure your review is properly filed, but the outcome still comes from Meta's review process. If that's your situation, start with Facebook ad account disabled or restricted.
It doesn't improve ad performance. The badge sits on your profile; it isn't a ranking boost in the ad auction.
It doesn't replace business verification. Some features and higher messaging limits depend on the free business verification, which you still need to complete separately.
You can lose it. Cancel the subscription and the badge and protection go with it. Breaking Meta's rules can remove them too.
Is it worth it?
Short answer: worth it if Meta is a channel you can't afford to lose and you've struggled to reach a person. Usually not worth it as a badge for its own sake.
| Probably worth it | Probably not |
|---|---|
| You spend meaningfully on Meta ads every month and downtime costs real money | You run small or occasional campaigns |
| You're often impersonated (fake pages selling as you, scam DMs in your name) | Nobody is impersonating you |
| You've lost days trying to reach Meta support before | Free support routes have worked for you |
| Customers or clients judge you on trust signals (finance, health, local services) | The badge wouldn't change anything for your customers |
Before paying, try the free routes first: the Meta AI assistant and Contact support in Business Support Home. Many advertisers with an active spending history can already chat with an agent. Our guide on how to contact Meta Business Support walks through them.
For agencies, the subscription belongs on the client's Page or account, paid by the client, because the badge, the protection and the support case are all tied to that business.
Questions people ask
Is Meta Verified worth it for a business?
It's worth it mainly for the support access and impersonation protection, if Meta is important to your revenue. If you just want the badge, the cost rarely pays back.
How much does Meta Verified cost for business?
In the US, plans commonly range from about $14.99 to $499.99 per month per account, across Standard, Plus, Premium and Max. Prices vary by country and by where you subscribe, so check your app.
How long does it take to get Meta Verified for business?
Meta has to review your business before the badge appears. Many businesses hear back within days, but Meta doesn't publish a fixed time, and missing or mismatched business details slow it down.
Is there still a waitlist for Meta Verified?
When Meta first launched the business plans it used a waitlist in some markets. Availability now depends on your country. If you're eligible, you'll see Meta Verified in Business Suite settings.
Can I get verified with 1,000 followers?
Meta Verified for Business doesn't publish a follower minimum. It checks that the business is real, eligible and active, not how many followers it has.
Will Meta Verified help me get my ad account back?
It can get you to a person faster, but it doesn't overturn the decision. Fix the cause and request a review as described in Facebook ad account disabled or restricted.
